Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install electrical hardware or software or wire selected devices in accordance with state and local codes.
• Perform electrical start-ups of new, used, or modified equipment and generate or modify operating instructions related to electrical items.
• Aid in the layout design of construction and troubleshoot electrical components.
• Perform calibrations on electrical components as needed.
• Program and install PLCs and draw ladder logic diagrams to match such.
• Maintain clean work areas daily, ensuring all wire, conduit, raceways, etc., are stored safely.
• Responsible for company-issued tools (e.g., benders, punches, labelers, drills), ensuring they are cleaned and stored when not in use.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years of experience with PLC programming and ladder logic.
• Prior electrical experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman electrician license is preferred.
• Strong computer and basic math skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Frequently exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, electrical hazards, and potentially dangerous equipment.
• Requires regular travel to off-site locations.
• Frequently requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing, with occasional sitting and equipment/computer use.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards.
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
