Responsibilities
- Install electrical hardware or software or wire selected devices in accordance with state and local codes.
- Perform electrical start-ups of new, used, or modified equipment and generate or modify operating instructions related to electrical items.
- Aid in the layout design of construction and troubleshoot electrical components.
- Perform calibrations on electrical components as needed.
- Program and install PLCs and draw ladder logic diagrams to match such.
- Maintain clean work areas daily, ensuring all wire, conduit, raceways, etc., are stored safely.
- Responsible for company-issued tools (e.g., benders, punches, labelers, drills), ensuring they are cleaned and stored when not in use.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2–3 years of experience with PLC programming and ladder logic.
- Prior electrical experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman electrician license is preferred.
- Strong computer and basic math skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Frequently exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, electrical hazards, and potentially dangerous equipment.
- Requires regular travel to off-site locations.
- Frequently requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing, with occasional sitting and equipment/computer use.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards.
- Requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
