About the Role

Manufacturing Electrician opportunities at Dana Inc., a global leader in highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies. The successful candidates will work in a team environment, thriving in a challenging and fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Program and/or alter machine control logic programs for CNC machines as required by the plant electrical engineer or Electrical Department Supervisor.
  • Program or alter programs for robots and PC-controlled machines as directed.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and test electrical fixtures, apparatus, control equipment, and wiring used in alarm, radio, communications, light, and power systems.
  • Plan installations from blueprints, sketches, or specifications.
  • Secure panel boards, switch boxes, pull boxes, and other concealed or recessed equipment to structural frames.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduit connecting various outlets, panels, and machines.
  • Install and connect equipment to wiring systems; test circuits for continuity and proper connections.
  • Install buss duct, main power lines, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical equipment in power systems.
  • Maintain electrical equipment such as wiring, motors, switches, and panel boards in good repair and operating condition.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Close all work orders in E-maint accurately and timely.
  • Perform other incidental duties as required.

Requirements

  • Valid Journeyperson card or eight (8) years of practical trade-related experience with notarized documentation or work record.
  • Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, robot recovery, and repair.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with new equipment installation, hydraulics, and industrial power distribution.
  • Furnace thermal couple calibration, furnace inspection, and repair.
  • Knowledge of 480, 110, 220, and 3-phase electrical systems; ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Preventative maintenance experience and familiarity with E-Maintenance, Rockwell Logix platform, Fanuc robotics, and CNC.
  • Proven organization and communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to occasionally sit, crawl, reach, twist, push, pull, grip, pinch, crouch/squat, forward bend, forward sit, forward stand, and climb stairs/ladders.
  • Ability to frequently stand and walk.
  • Ability to exert light lifting and carrying (under 25 lbs) up to 33% of the time.
  • Ability to exert moderate lifting and carrying (25-49 lbs) up to 33% of the time.
  • Ability to exert heavy lifting and carrying (50+ lbs) up to 33% of the time.
  • Ability to occasionally perform repetitive motion activities such as hand/wrist, forearm/elbow, and shoulder.

Pay

Up to $39.25 per hour.
