Electrician
About the role
Perform all low voltage electrical work in and on buildings and structures, including, but not limited to: electrical circuits; panel boards, intercom systems; grounds, outlets; switches; lighting fixtures; temperature indicating systems in magazines; intrusion and safety alarm systems, smoke/heat detectors and fire alarm systems inside of buildings; power tools; appliance equipment; motors; conveyor belts and drive systems and other related electrical equipment/materials.
Responsibilities
- Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.
- Repair or replace any cracked, broken, defective and inoperative devices.
- Inspects work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, policies, and regulations.
- Supports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills.
- Ensures proper housekeeping practices are observed.
- Performs other tasks as directed by supervisor, lead.
- Respond to emergency callouts as requested by the Trouble Desk.
Requirements
- Mandatory: Valid Nevada driver’s license.
- Possess an OSHA 10 card or have the ability to get one within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must have a knowledge and understanding of the most current publication of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- This position requires knowledge, training, and experience as a low voltage electrician equivalent to Journeyman level.
- Must be able to comprehend, read, speak and write fluently in the English language.
- Employee must furnish their own hand tools.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.
Qualifications
- Mandatory: High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Experience as a low voltage electrician equivalent to Journeyman level.
- Ability to comprehend, read, speak and write fluently in the English language.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.

Pay
Compensation for this role will be determined based on factors including job responsibilities, experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and applicable contract requirements. Where required by law, compensation ranges will be provided to candidates during the hiring process.
Schedule
Work hours are subject to change, with overtime work as needed. Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm; diseases, cuts, bruises, burns, common colds, influenza, dust odors and elevated noise levels. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hand and soft-carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces. Willing to work shift work if necessary.
