Electrician

Essential Duties & Job Functions

• Install, alter, add, and repair electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment.
• Work with power generation and large area power distribution.
• Conduct installation and construction with some maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Read and understand conduit drawings, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Use and care for tools and equipment such as hydraulic/electric benders, knockout punch sets, cable puller, meggers, hi-pot equipment, volt meters, multi-testers, ammeters.
• Set and coordinate over-current protective devices, size feeder circuits, and understand systems across the island.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician's License.
• Ability to perform associated mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of safety management principles and practices.
• Strong MS Office and other computer skills.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, codes, and rules.
• English language proficiency.
• State driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Pass background check, drug screening, fingerprints, and fit-for-duty physical exam.
• Medical clearance for long-term residency in a remote location with limited access to healthcare.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
