We are searching for a talented and qualified Electrician who has proven experience with the safe and effective execution of electrical system repairs on industrial equipment. Working a rotating shift schedule to support continuous production operations, you will be responsible for safely executing a variety of electrical troubleshooting and repair work.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs.
  • Works from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to install and test electrical systems or equipment.
  • Performs Preventive Maintenance Systems tests and inspections, documenting results.
  • Reviews and interprets engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
  • Uses test instruments to determine faults and replaces components.
  • Works with a range of hand tools, including electrical test equipment.
  • Determines which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.
  • Assists specialists and engineers in making more complex repairs.
  • Compliers with all plant safety directives.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work well in a team environment as part of a 12-hour shift crew.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a millwright or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with good applied mathematical skills.
  • Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
  • Must comply with all Federal, State, Local, and Company rules and regulations on Health, Safety, and Environmental issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining Alkegen's highest level of safety standards on-site, including identifying and correcting unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
  • Will embody Alkegen's core safety principles, including but not limited to The Seven Safety Absolutes, use of PPE, and Safe Standards of Work at all times.

Pay

$40.26/Hour. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
