About the role
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is seeking an Electrician Apprentice at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is a premier facility with four major venues including NRG Center, NRG Stadium, NRG Astrodome, and NRG Arena.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot all electrical malfunctions.
- Assist repairing all inoperable electrical equipment and circuits.
- Follow preventative maintenance schedule for all electrical machinery, equipment, and wiring.
- Absorb and prepare for all electrical work, telephone hook-ups, and wiring to ensure the facility meets safety standards.
- Advise the facility of all problems related to the electrical systems.
- Report any damage caused by events to the Supervisor.
- Maintain, order, and pick up adequate spare parts and supplies.
- Observe Supervisor advising Construction Contractors, Promoters, Event Coordinators, and others on event's electrical requirements.
- Aid with special event preparation, conversions, and post-event needs, as requested.
- Catalog all work, repairs, and damage in a daily log.
Requirements
- Possess understanding of the operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility.
- Demonstrate proper knowledge and use of all procedures, techniques, machines, materials, equipment, and tools used in electrical construction and maintenance.
- Understand and work from general instructions, specifications, blueprints, sketches, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Exercise reliability, productivity, and expediency in carrying out tasks.
- Adhere to strict deadlines.
- Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
- Communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Hold an Apprentice Electrician License.
- Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
- Be able to lift 50lbs and stand for long hours during events.
- Be able to stretch and reach.
- Be able to climb ladders and work from heights as necessary.
