Electrician 3 Lake Main Campus
Responsibilities
- Maintains repairs, replaces and installs electrical systems to include, but not limited to, switches, fixtures, motors, transformers, controllers, associated electronic components, distribution and wiring.
- Completes periodic inspections, recurring maintenance requirements and associated documentation.
- Maintains systems to conform to written guidelines and applicable changes.
- Acts as plant operator for electrical and power generation using work orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints and manuals in order to accomplish assigned duties.
Requirements
- Maintains systems knowledge, knowledgeable of cathodic protection, communications, and grounding systems.
- Develops and provides training to other technical staff and performs comprehensive troubleshooting and repair.
Qualifications
- Five years experience as an Electrician with one year in maintenance, repair, and operation of electrical power generators.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid LA Driver's License.
About the Role
Operates, maintains, and repairs power generation systems and their controllers. Provides analysis and implements corrective actions to maintain equipment and systems operation to ensure maximum efficiency and stable performance. Primary focus of position is the maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic control devices for generators, switch gear, and electrical distribution systems.
Training and Troubleshooting
Develops and provides training to other technical staff and performs comprehensive troubleshooting and repair.
Experience
- Five years experience as an Electrician with one year in maintenance, repair, and operation of electrical power generators.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Other Duties
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
