- Monday – Thursday: 6:00am–3:30pm
- Every other Friday: 6:00am–2:30pm
Core Responsibilities
- Always follow all required safety and environmental standards and procedures.
- Repair and maintain all facility machinery and mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance and problem-solving skills.
- Work with outside vendors and contractors to initiate and implement equipment and facility repair on an as-needed basis.
- Utilize analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills to examine, repair, and/or detect issues with machinery or equipment on hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Inspect, observe, and examine mechanical devices in operation to determine root cause of problems; dismantle or adjust devices to repair to specifications.
- Provide recommendations or modifications to processes and procedures; collaborate with other maintenance mechanics to increase machine efficiency and uptime.
- Prioritize daily activities to ensure completion of responsibilities and keep the facility running.
- Perform preventative maintenance on the facility and equipment.
- Work extra hours as required to finish repairs and put equipment back into service.
- Participate in the rotation of being on call with other maintenance mechanics.
- Clean up and put away tools, parts, etc., at the completion of each job.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, preferably in Aerospace.
- In-depth knowledge and electrical skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical, machining, hydraulics, and building maintenance schematics.
- Previous maintenance experience with industrial production systems, plumbing, control systems, welding, fabrication, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to operate a Drill Press, Power/Hand Tools, Measuring Equipment, and Test Equipment such as a voltmeter.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures while following direction and completing assignments accurately and on time.
- Basic computer skills and PLC knowledge.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all levels of personnel.
- Ability to schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.
- Ability to work in a challenging and schedule-driven environment.
- Electrician/Journeyman License.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Apprenticeship or Associate’s Degree preferred, or certificate of training to demonstrate qualifications.
