About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our maintenance team at a fast-paced pork processing plant.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on motors, controls, lighting, wiring, and power distribution.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and support continuous production.
- Follow safety protocols, including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and GMPs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and NEC standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance and plant teams, document maintenance activities, and support plant-wide electrical needs.
- Assist with installing new equipment and electrical upgrades, and support emergency and shutdown procedures.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience; PLC experience preferred.
- Ability to read and write in English; effective team player with sound judgment and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts or lifts is a plus.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
