ELECTRICAL WIRING ASSEMBLER III (Aerospace & Defense)

About the role

The Marvin Group is a strategic partner for global alternate mission equipment and sustainment. We are a leading defense contractor based in Southern California, specializing in the design and manufacturing of systems for military aerospace and vehicles. Our team includes Marvin Engineering, Marvin Test Solutions, and Marvin Land Systems, each contributing to various programs and platforms supported by major military prime contractors like Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.

Responsibilities

- Setup and operate various types of equipment, tools, and fixtures/shop aids to fabricate and assemble electrical assemblies. - Setup and perform manual and computer-controlled operations for assembly and testing (as required). - Understand and use planning instructions and assembly drawings. - Follow all policies and procedures to protect product from Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) damage. - Hi-REL soldering certification, specifications, and procedures. - Learn, participate, and apply various trainings into daily work. - Verify that all components, consumables, equipment, and calibration are within tolerance/expiration before using. - Use Lean and 6S methodologies to improve and maintain an efficient work area. - Perform other related duties as required.

Skills/Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent. - 5+ years’ experience. - Basic computer skills. - Must be able to read blueprints and/or schematics. - IPC-610 Certification: The Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies. - IPC-620 Certification: Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies certifications or equivalent required. - J-STD-001 Certification: Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies required for Solder role. - Ability to perform moderate, demanding, physical and repetitive work. - Solve problems. - Detailed-oriented and self-motivated. - Must be able to speak/read/write English. - Must be able to lift 35 lbs. - Work Environment: Manufacturing and/or Machining environment, fast-paced, people and parts movement, moderate to medium noise level, potential odors from chemicals and/or processes, physically demanding, use of personal protective equipment required.
