Job Overview
In this role, you will work under the guidance of experienced electricians and trainers to learn the basics of electrical systems, safety protocols, and industry standards. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, as well as learning to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about learning and eager to start a rewarding career in the electrical field.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks
- Material identification and tool & equipment use
- Digs trenches & excavations using power equipment.
- Above-ground conduit installation.
- Able to mount, secure and install electrical raceways, fixtures & systems.
- Assists in wire pulling procedures.
- Performs branch wire terminations.
- Performs device wire terminations and installation.
- Assembles pre-fabrication systems.
- Assists with cable pullers and cable feeders.
- Performs all tasks in a timely manner to meet production standards.
Under General Supervision
- Jobsite housekeeping and general labor.
- Digs trenches & excavations using hand tools.
- Either enrolled as a trainee or participating in a state-approved electrical trainee program, if mandated by the state.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and eagerness to learn the trade.
- Demonstrates reliability and initiative.
- Abides by Rex Moore's company rules, policies and safety requirements and reports all violations and incidents to immediate supervisor or safety manager.

Compensation
Rex Moore pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employee’s knowledge, experience and skill level.
Work Environment
- Frequently exposed to environmental conditions inside and outside: inclement weather, cold, heat, and humidity.
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
- Frequently exposed to vibrations, moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, machines, dust and chemicals.
- May be required to function in crawl spaces, shafts, man holes, small enclosed rooms, and other areas of close proximity.
- Occasionally required to work on elevated surfaces including on ladders and lifts.

- Education, Certifications, Licenses:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in a State-approved school as an Electrician Trainee and actively taking classes.
- Holds a valid Electrician Trainee certification through the state.

- Frequently required to lift objects from low to high positions in horizontal to vertical motions.

- Occasionally required to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs with assistance.
- Frequently required to sit in chair, vehicle, or equipment.
- Constantly required to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Ability to hear detailed information and distinguish sounds to avoid hazards.
- Required to have near and far sited visual acuity with or without correction.
- Must be able to inspect small parts, operate tools, using measurement devices and/or assembly or fabrication parts.
- Must also be able to visually identify and read posted signs, instructions, and identify possible hazards.
- Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
