Electrical Testing Technicians I Neta II, III, IV
We are a rapidly growing electrical power services organization seeking experienced NETA Certified Electrical Testing Technicians (Level II, III, and IV) to support utility substation commissioning, acceptance testing, and maintenance testing projects across multiple locations. This position offers the opportunity to work on critical power infrastructure projects while supporting utilities, industrial facilities, and commercial clients. Most technicians work primarily within their home state but may travel based on project needs.

Travel opportunities are available, with the Virginia office particularly open to travel technicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of electrical power equipment.
- Conduct maintenance testing and troubleshooting on energized and de-energized systems.
- Execute electrical testing procedures in accordance with NETA standards and client specifications.
- Test and evaluate medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment, including:
- Switchgear
- Transformers
- Circuit breakers
- Protective relay systems
- Control systems
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Assist with utility substation commissioning and startup activities.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with project teams, customers, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead technicians and coordinate field activities for higher-level NETA III and IV positions.
- Support project scheduling, customer communication, and project management functions as applicable.
Requirements
- Current NETA II, III, or IV Certification
- Experience performing electrical testing on power systems and electrical equipment.
- Experience with:
- Acceptance Testing
- Maintenance Testing
- Electrical Commissioning
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems and testing methodologies.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility or substation commissioning experience.
- Protective relay testing experience.
- Power generation, transmission, and distribution experience.
- Experience with switchgear, transformer, and breaker testing.
- Project management experience, particularly for NETA III and NETA IV candidates.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
Pay
- NETA II: $45-$60/hour
- NETA III: $60-$80/hour
- NETA IV: Highly competitive and negotiable, approximately $95+/hour depending on experience and expertise
