About the role
This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. The goal is to build sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the requirements, design, architecture, procurement, build, integration, and checkout of the avionics test systems
- Create and release drawings of the test hardware infrastructure, rack layouts, harnesses, breakout boxes/panels, power distribution, and grounding
- Identify and procure equipment, and coordinate with technicians for the build, assembly, and installation of equipment and harnesses
- Support the integration of flight avionics, hardware, operator consoles, and test equipment to verify the requirements and performance of avionics units under test
- Support checkout of the avionics systems and solve technical problems
- Maintain configuration control of the drawings and the test system configuration
- Support problem investigation and resolution
Requirements
- B.S. degree in electrical engineering, or related technical degree
- 2+ years industry experience with avionics systems testing
- Experience planning, executing, and reporting electronics testing of analog/digital/application
- Proficiency in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power meters, data acquisition cards, etc)
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in software and/or hardware development, integration, systems engineering, testing experience, and supporting avionics or similarly broad integration
- Experience with human-rated space vehicle development and verification
- Experience with analyzing issues with variable voltage instrumentation and control systems, 4-20 mA signals, thermocouples, resolvers, etc.
- Experience operating within a production configuration management environment
- Experience with Altium, Zuken, Creo, Windchill, and JAMA Base Pay Range For WA applicants is $107,136.00 - $149,990.40 Other Site Ranges May Differ
