About the role
As an Electrical Test Engineer V at Hyve Solutions Corporation, you will play a critical role in validating the performance and reliability of our cutting-edge server and storage solutions through comprehensive electrical testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex electrical test plans, methodologies, and procedures for server, storage, and networking hardware.
- Lead the debug and root cause analysis of electrical failures at the component, board, and system level, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure testability and quality throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop and automate test scripts using programming languages such as Python, C++, or LabVIEW for efficient data acquisition and analysis.
- Analyze test data, generate comprehensive test reports, and provide detailed recommendations for design improvements and corrective actions.
- Evaluate and select appropriate test equipment, fixtures, and instrumentation to meet testing requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the development of best practices within the electrical testing team.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and new test methodologies to continuously improve testing capabilities.
- Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, and DFM activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential electrical issues.
- Perform signal integrity and power integrity measurements and analysis to ensure compliance with specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical testing, validation, and debug of complex hardware systems, preferably in the server, storage, or data center industry.
- Expertise in various electrical testing techniques, including functional, stress, performance, and compliance testing (e.g., PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, USB).
- Strong proficiency with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and power supplies.
- Advanced programming skills in Python, C++, LabVIEW, or similar languages for test automation and data analysis.
- Deep understanding of digital and analog circuit design principles, signal integrity, and power delivery networks.
- Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and debug complex electrical issues down to the component level.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence Allegro) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration.
