About the role
Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking an Electrical Test Engineer. This is an on-site position based at our Beaver, PA facility. Relocation assistance will be provided within the US/PR. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year. Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical testing according to UL, CSA, IEC, and NEMA standards.
- Ensure compliance with Eaton’s safety policies and electrical safety regulations.
- Set up and verify complex test configurations.
- Cook up and coordinate lab scheduling, technician tasks, and equipment calibrations.
- Maintain and organize test samples and documentation.
- Prepare and process detailed test reports.
- Support lab upgrades, repairs, and 5S activities.
- Manage multiple projects to meet critical deadlines.
Qualifications
- Required (Basic): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
- Previous technical experience, including internship/co-op in a professional environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology from an accredited institution (Preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an electrical test lab.
- Experience using a computer for detailed test documentation and analysis.
- Experience with power systems component operation such as circuit breakers, motors, transformers, panelboards, PLCs, HMIs, solid state components.
- Experience with measurement equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and megger equipment.
- Reading Schematics and Blue Prints for assembly.

- Working knowledge of test equipment and application in various testing environments.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members to problem solve.
- Capable of clearly communicating ideas and concepts within a team environment.
- Able to assemble, verify, and correlate results as well as prepare reports and present findings.
- Able to travel up to 10%.
- Able to troubleshoot electrical power systems and understanding of components in those systems.
- Able to guide technicians on test setups and procedures while maintaining safety protocols.
