Responsibilities
- Develop and execute electrical test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Cook up testing activities with external laboratories and test facilities.
- Perform EMI/EMC testing and support compliance activities.
- Conduct testing to aerospace and military standards including DO-160, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify root causes of test failures.
- Operate laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators.
- Record test data, complete documentation, and create technical reports.
- Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Document non-conformances and assist with corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure products meet performance and reliability requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 1–2+ years of experience in electrical testing, validation, troubleshooting, or test engineering.
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to EMI/EMC testing.
- Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD-704, or MIL-STD-461.
- Experience within aerospace, defense, military, electronics manufacturing, or highly regulated industries.
- Military experience (active duty, reservist, or veteran) with electrical systems or testing is highly valued.
