Electrical Technician III - 1st shift

About the role

Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and talented technician to join their Batteries Test Lab team. The role involves executing and supporting testing of implantable medical device batteries, often using specialized equipment, during the design, development, and production life cycles of these devices.

Responsibilities

• Utilize battery test equipment and ovens to execute battery characterization and evaluation testing.
• Build or assemble prototype materials, components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
• Construct, operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, maintain, and test equipment, systems, and products.
• Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
• Review or develop processing or manufacturing instructions.
• Maintain detailed documentation throughout the development, testing, and analysis phases.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• AA degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Software development or troubleshooting/debugging experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent task management and problem-solving skills for a fast-paced lab environment.
• Equipment control within a medical device quality system.
• Experience with Maccor or other battery test systems and procedures.
• Experience in battery testing, electronics testing, or a related technical field.
