Your role at Clorox

The Electrical Technical Lead is responsible for Electrical repair work, Electrical skill building, Electrical projects, and Electrical technology for the entire site. The Electrical Technical Lead will be the expert for Electrical work at the site and will focus on long term health and continuous improvement of Electrical systems, components, and skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in safe operating condition.
  • Repair Electrical equipment to restore production.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Electrical downtime, component life, and cost.
  • Build and develop Electrical skills in other maintenance staff.
  • Build and develop Electrical skills in operational staff.
  • Cook with contractors to ensure safe execution of contractor work.
  • Cook with leadership and the maintenance planner on equipment priorities.
  • Stay informed and skilled on new Electrical technology.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Develop, update, and improve technical documentation.
  • Maintain maintenance shop, tools, and facilities at standard.

Working Conditions

  • Continually or frequently encounters: exposure to dust & fine particles, exposure to high noise levels, exposure to moving equipment, exposure to scents and odors, repetitive gross and fine hand motions, standing (up to 8 hours per shift), walking (up to 8 hours per shift), wear common protective or safety equipment (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats), work at heights exceeding 6 feet, work indoors, partially environmentally controlled.
  • Sometimes or rarely encounters: bending, twisting or squatting, climb steps and ladders, lifting and carrying, up to 50 lbs, pushing and pulling, up to 50 lbs, reach above shoulder, perform work at or above shoulder height, sitting, wear specialized protective or safety equipment, work in an enclosed vehicle or equipment, work in an open vehicle or equipment, work in very hot or very cold temperatures, work outdoors, exposed to weather.

  • Experience with packaging equipment strongly preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics.
  • Capable of operating hand, power, and specialized tools.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems.
  • Experience with packaging equipment strongly preferred.

Required Education

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • An Associate’s Degree Preferred.
