Responsibilities
- Work together with and/or leads the operating crew to minimize downtime and to maximize productivity
- Makes the basic decisions on how an electrical repair is to proceed and perform quality repairs the first time
- Leads the completion of more complicated and specialized electrical tasks
- Assists Maintenance Techs when assigned
- Works with the production team for constant improvement
- Performs administrative duties as assigned including completion of work order documentation and data entry into the computerized maintenance system
Requirements
- 4-5 years of heavy industrial/maintenance experience OR Four year apprenticeship certification OR 2 years of heavy industrial/maintenance experience and a 2 year Technical degree in Electrical (or a similar field)
- Electrical troubleshooting skills a must
- Hydraulic and combustion systems troubleshooting skill considered a plus
- Experience with large AC/DC motors, analog and digital controls, AC inverter drives, solid-state DC drives instrumentation devices and programmable control experience required
- Experience with Siemens, Modicon, Reliance, and Control Logix PLCs considered a plus
- Experience with Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, and Baldor drives also considered a plus
- Understanding of infrared, acoustics and other predictive maintenance practices considered a plus
