Electrical Supervisor

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day electrical and instrumentation supervision of hourly mechanics to meet goals safely and effectively, in accordance with company policies and all regulatory and corporate compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as a leader in supporting the Safety Journey and the Company’s goal of achieving an injury-free workplace.
• Drive continuous improvement in workplace safety by addressing root causes of near misses, conducting effective safety meetings, and promptly addressing employee safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, MOC, GMP, and Q.C. standards within the department/shift.
• Conduct weekly safety and quality meetings.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the department/shift.
• Impact electrical and instrument equipment uptime and PM compliance.
• Collaborate with Production Supervisors and Operators for troubleshooting and with Project Engineers for new project design (e.g., Reliability in Design) and implementation.
• Manage labor efficiency, people development, training, and competencies.
• Maintain electrical shop housekeeping.
• Oversee high voltage distribution and PLC maintenance (troubleshooting & PM).
• Provide electrical and instrumentation services, including troubleshooting electrical motors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of supervisor experience in maintenance.
• 10 years of industrial electrical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5 years of supervisor experience.
• Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience with instrumentation and controls.
• Previous experience with robots.
• Six Sigma Certification.
• Lean Certification.
• SAP Experience.

Working Conditions

• Normal working schedule is Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:00pm. Weekend and overtime may be required.
• Works in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time.
• May perform sustained manual activities at moderate to heavy levels of exertion, including lifting and moving loads of a minimum of fifty (50) pounds, climbing ladders/stairs, and working on elevated platforms.
• Works and travels throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity.
• Wears personal protective equipment as required and uses full range of motion.
• Works in general office and manufacturing plant environments.
