The Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for:
- Facilitating and promoting a safe and positive working environment.
- Providing leadership, guidance, and open communication to your team.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and repair costs.
- Ensuring safety, quality, environmental, and maintenance objectives are consistently met or exceeded.
- Training and mentoring employees.
- Designing work schedules and delegating responsibilities effectively.
- Documenting and scheduling predictive, preventative, and corrective equipment maintenance.
- Collaborating with other maintenance teams to minimize unscheduled downtime.
- Ordering parts and materials as needed and preparing reports for management.
- Maintaining high standards of work performance and professional conduct.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
- 10+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician with specialized skills in PLCs.
- Thorough knowledge of plant equipment and operations.
- Expertise in electronic maintenance systems and familiarity with OSHA regulations.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Knowledge or experience in lumber manufacturing is considered an asset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
