The Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Facilitating and promoting a safe and positive working environment.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and open communication to your team.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and repair costs.
  • Ensuring safety, quality, environmental, and maintenance objectives are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Training and mentoring employees.
  • Designing work schedules and delegating responsibilities effectively.
  • Documenting and scheduling predictive, preventative, and corrective equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborating with other maintenance teams to minimize unscheduled downtime.
  • Ordering parts and materials as needed and preparing reports for management.
  • Maintaining high standards of work performance and professional conduct.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
  • 10+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician with specialized skills in PLCs.
  • Thorough knowledge of plant equipment and operations.
  • Expertise in electronic maintenance systems and familiarity with OSHA regulations.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge or experience in lumber manufacturing is considered an asset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Pay

$X per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
