About the role

E.C. Services, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician – Lead Commercial Electrical Troubleshooting and Controls Solutions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical failures in wiring, circuits, and panels using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Execute high-quality repairs and replacements of circuit breakers, transformers, and specialized commercial equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections to ensure client systems exceed safety standards and National Electrical Code requirements.
• Interpret intricate blueprints and technical schematics to implement precise electrical upgrades and modifications.
• Manage onsite parts inventory and document labor hours to maintain project transparency and efficiency.
• Mentor junior apprentices during field installations to uphold the company’s standards of excellence.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by explaining technical solutions and recommending long-term system improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical service, maintenance, or commercial troubleshooting.
• Proven proficiency in reading blueprints, interpreting the NEC, and executing lockout/tagout safety protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage service calls with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication skills necessary for professional client interaction and accurate field reporting.
• Physical capability to navigate confined spaces, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship or technical certification program.
• Specialized experience with generators, or EV charging infrastructure.
• Advanced knowledge of general commercial applications and automated system layouts.
• Experience in Lighting Controls and Low Voltage Systems.
