Core Responsibilities

Supervise all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, schedule, and close out.

Have thorough knowledge of all major project issues and priorities; prepare and submit monthly job status reports.

Secure all required permits and verify insurance coverage for subs.

Schedule and facilitate all project meetings required to successfully coordinate work activity.

Supervise and manage project team members; set goals and evaluate performance for team members.

Train and develop direct reports utilizing on the job and internal and external training or development opportunities.

Provide general administrative and technical leadership for the project.

Maintain all project records and monitor correspondence.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner and engineering firms.

Participate in proposals and presentations as requested.

Required Qualifications

  • 7-9 years construction experience required.
  • Undergraduate degree required in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field.
  • Experience managing projects successfully from start to finish.
  • Skilled at negotiating and developing relationships with owners and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach and evaluate a team; minimum 4 years supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in engineering or business a plus.
  • Working for an electrical contractor on large scale construction.
  • DBIA and LEED Accreditation.
  • Mass transit and rail, highway, water, aviation, or other infrastructure project experience.

Schedule

Your Work Environment:

  • You’ll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress.
  • You will also spend time in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels.
