Responsibilities
We are seeking a professional to lead the MEP Electrical Infrastructure function within our Real Estate and Construction vertical. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in electrical engineering, coupled with extensive experience in both design and execution of electrical infrastructure projects.
- Lead end-to-end MEP Electrical Infrastructure design and execution, ensuring quality and timely delivery across project sites.
- Capable of designing Electrical lighting & power distribution network from power source to end use and ELV & ICT infrastructure for large infrastructure projects from concept to GFC.
- Perform substation sizing, LT panel room design, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations required for electrical infrastructure projects.
- Cookorate effectively with clients, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to drive project success.
- Manage design development from concept through Tender and GFC stages, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Conduct technical due diligence for large land parcels in collaboration with power supply companies and other stakeholders.
- Review and approve contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and as-built documentation.
- Oversee site inspections, system commissioning, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Facilitate meetings with clients and vendors, ensuring alignment on design intent and execution strategy.
- Promote sustainable MEP solutions and contribute to cost estimation and budgeting processes.
- Ensure integration of ELV systems including fiber networks, security systems, and backup power infrastructure.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EC norms, MOEF guidelines, ECBC, NBC 2016, IS codes, and relevant international standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10–12 years of proven experience in MEP Electrical Infrastructure design and site coordination within the Real Estate/Construction industry.
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience with design consultants and 4–5 years in project execution.
- Strong understanding of local power supply norms and MEP design standards.
- Proficiency in CAD is essential; familiarity with BIM 360, ETAP, and similar tools is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Experience in technical due diligence, report preparation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and cost estimation methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proactive and collaborative team player.
