Electrical Safety Technician-Onsite

About the role

JM Test Systems is expanding its technical team in Mattoon, IL, with openings for Technician Level I positions. Ideal for those with strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and interest in a hands-on technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic equipment setup, maintenance, and testing under supervision
• Absorb and assist senior technicians with routine calibrations and repairs
• Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
• Learn company processes, equipment, and documentation systems
• Support daily operational and technical activities within the lab and field environments
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established procedures
• Absorb and assist with organizing tools, equipment, and work areas

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
