About the Role
This position assists in the administration of the company's electrical safety program, including organizing the program for Electric Power Generation Service Technicians, conducting and supporting electrical safety classes (e.g., NFPA-70E), and developing criteria to evaluate Service Technician qualifications for working on various equipment.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory of specialized PPE and vendors.
- Assist the Safety and Environmental Department with in-store and in-field inspections.
- Train Service Technicians on completing electrical safety JSAs (Jobsite Safety Analysis) and inspections.
- Conduct annual observations.
- Evaluate and research training options and lead or assist in developing electrical safety training.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Power Generator Service Technician or similar role, or experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety with 5 years of electrical safety background.
- Willingness to travel frequently throughout the Ohio Machinery Co. territory, including overnight travel.
- Valid driver’s license that meets company standards for safe driving.
- Agreeable to participate in the company's vehicle reimbursement program (Motus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Physical Requirements
- Combination of office, service shop, training room, and fieldwork (including customer locations).
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to handle or feel objects.
- Reaching with hands and arms.
- Noise levels vary from quiet (office) to moderate or loud (field), with potential for sudden loud noises.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds.
