Electrical Quality Inspector
About the role
Wood Group is looking for an Electrical Quality Inspector to support our Black Bayou project. The role involves inspecting products/materials and associated documentation to ensure compliance with Wood, Client, or industry specifications/codes and relevant purchase order requirements. This includes inspections at supplier sites, Wood and client worksites, and/or warehouse locations.
Responsibilities
- Validate inspection requirements and carry out inspection activities at worksites including suppliers, warehouses, etc.
- Witness/review of testing activities in compliance with Inspection and test plan requirements
- Verification that appropriate approvals are in place prior to commencement of specific works (e.g. weld procedures are approved, welder certification, etc.)
- Review and endorsement of quality records raised as an output from manufacturing and installation processes.
- Generation of inspection and progress reports as required.
- Final inspection release and issue of inspection release notes
- Report any inspection deficiencies and queries to the project quality team
- Verification that inspection test equipment is fit for purpose and calibrated prior to use
- Verification of equipment storage and preservation in line with manufacturer's recommendations
- Provide support to as-building processes and handover for completions
- Assist in auditing of suppliers as required
Qualifications
- Degree/diploma or local equivalent in quality or technical discipline (desirable)
- Inspection certificate in a relevant discipline (e.g. welding/electrical/mechanical) from a recognized industry or national body (essential)
- Radiographic interpretation certificate (piping welding inspectors only – desirable)
- Quality auditor qualification by a recognized industry body (desirable)
- Knowledge, Skills, And Experience: 5 + years relevant experience (Preferably in the associated industry). Awareness of ISO 9001 requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format Personal Attributes: Good planner and organizer Attention to detail Integrity and trustworthy

The salary range for this position is $X per hour to $Y per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
