Responsibilities

  • Support electrical startup, testing, and commissioning activities for critical infrastructure and industrial projects throughout the Austin, Texas region.
  • Work closely with Electrical Commissioning Engineers, project managers, field teams, and client stakeholders to support the safe energization and operational readiness of electrical systems.
  • Assist with testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and validation of medium voltage and low voltage electrical distribution equipment, including switchgear, relays, transformers, breakers, and associated control systems.
  • Focus on hands-on field execution and require strong electrical troubleshooting abilities, attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work in active construction and commissioning environments.
  • Comfortable working extended hours during critical commissioning and energization phases while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Practical field experience supporting commissioning, startup, or electrical testing activities within data centers, industrial facilities, utilities, renewable energy projects, or large commercial construction environments.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Attention to safety procedures.
  • Ability to work in active construction and commissioning environments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical commissioning, startup, or testing.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience with medium and low voltage electrical systems, switchgear, relays, transformers, breakers, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Benefits

Compensation for this position is expected to range from approximately $35–$50 per hour depending on experience, certifications, and project background.
