About the role

This critical role ensures the quality and compliance of medium-voltage electrical infrastructure during installation and commissioning phases. You will serve as an independent observer, providing vital quality verification and documentation oversight to help deliver a state-of-the-art facility that meets all design, safety, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily quality control inspections of mechanical, electrical, and medium-voltage equipment installations, ensuring alignment with design drawings, project specifications, and industry standards.
  • Identify, document, and track installation deficiencies or non-conforming work using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Verify that issues reported by trade partners are properly documented, assigned, and resolved, monitoring follow-up actions to closure.
  • Review detailed installation and pre-commissioning checklists (L2, L3, L4) submitted by trade partners for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Capture and document lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining a comprehensive lessons learned register and preparing a final report at project closeout.
  • Communicate observations that could impact schedule, budget, design intent, or operational efficiency to the Owner's team, escalating potential issues as needed.
  • Perform all services in an observer-only capacity, ensuring no direct instructions or corrective actions are given to trade partners, with all observations communicated solely to the Owner's team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of construction experience, with extensive background in mission-critical or data center environments.
  • Proven experience supporting medium-voltage installation, commissioning, or quality control activities on large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of data center electrical infrastructure, including medium-voltage systems such as switchgear, SEL protection relays, transformers, and NETA testing procedures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in reviewing installation documentation and commissioning checklists.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar construction management platforms, with excellent documentation and issue-tracking skills.
  • Deep knowledge of medium-voltage infrastructure, including switchgear, protection schemes, transformers, and terminations, especially within hyperscale or large-scale data centers.
  • Additional certifications or experience supporting medium-voltage testing and commissioning are highly desirable.
