About the role

KALCON is looking for a self-starting Electrical Project Manager to drive core project coordination efforts on electrical construction scopes on mission-critical data center construction. This role oversees schedule, cost, quality, safety, and coordination activities for medium-voltage and high-voltage systems, and related infrastructure. This position will serve as the primary point of contact between the Owner, General Contractor, low-voltage contractors, vendors, commissioning agents, and internal Operations teams.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience supporting or managing construction projects of increasing complexity, with experience in electrical construction management strongly preferred. Data center or mission-critical facility experience is also preferred. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of project controls, document management, and construction workflows, with proficiency in Procore strongly preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Coordination: Serve as the Owner’s Representative for all assigned low-voltage scopes, coordinate internal alignment on document reviews, contract issuances, design changes, and cost optimization efforts, and lead coordination efforts between procurement, construction management, operations, and external contractors.
  • Schedule & Field Oversight: Review and evaluate schedule updates on a biweekly basis, perform regular site walks to validate installation progress against schedule and sequencing, and coordinate low-voltage work activities with ongoing campus operations and live environments.
  • Cost & Commercial Management: Assist with preparation of monthly financial updates and project forecasts, manage contractor billing processes, lead the change order review process, and process purchase orders and manage distribution to Client vendors.
  • Quality & Safety Management: Enforce project quality control and safety programs, perform on-site safety observations, manage Client safety program requirements, and provide weekly HRA site walk reports.
  • Document Control & Reporting: Maintain Client agendas, meeting minutes, and action item tracking, lead smaller project meetings, and manage Procore directory structure and GC document control coordination.
  • Commissioning & Closeout: Provide commissioning support, facilitate review and approval of commissioning scripts and documentation, and drive internal and external closeout requirements.
  • Permitting & Compliance: Assist with maintaining current campus and site permits, update permit bond tracking documentation, and coordinate with local authorities to ensure permits remain current and compliant.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $140,000 USD - $220,000 USD.
