About the role

InPwr, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager of Commissioning to join our dynamic team. We are an award-winning electrical design-build firm with offices in multiple locations across the United States. As a Project Manager specializing in Commissioning, you will oversee the planning, scheduling, change order, proposal, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities to ensure reliable and efficient operation of the data center's critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develops the commissioning plan, outlines scope, schedule, resources, and procedures, collaborates with stakeholders.
  • Coordination: Coordinates commissioning activities with various project stakeholders to align with project milestones and deadlines.
  • Vendor Management: Liaises with equipment vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery, installation, and testing of equipment.
  • System Integration: Oversees the integration of various data center systems, tests interoperability, communication protocols, and failover mechanisms.
  • Testing and Verification: Oversees functional and performance tests on critical infrastructure components, ensures compliance with design specifications and performance requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintains accurate records of commissioning activities, including test procedures, test results, equipment specifications, and as-built documentation.
  • Risk Management: Identifies and mitigates risks associated with commissioning activities, develops contingency plans and escalation procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensures workmanship meets industry best practices and regulatory requirements through inspections, audits, and reviews.
  • Client Communication: Provides regular updates to clients on commissioning activities, addresses concerns and requests professionally.
  • Training and Handover: Facilitates training sessions for data center operations staff, ensures a smooth handover of the facility upon completion.

Requirements

  • Certificates and Knowledge:
    • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Administrator (MBA optional)
    • 3-5 years of experience in HV Substations, MV SWGR, LV SWGR, Busway, UPS, Generator, PDU, RPP, etc.
    • Complete all Safety Certifications
    • Knowledge of CAD, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to travel and work on site 75%
