Electrical Project Manager

This role leads the full lifecycle of a large, technically complex industrial electrical construction project with a $30M+ electrical scope. The position requires hands-on leadership, close coordination with internal teams and external partners, and the ability to manage complex electrical systems in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of electrical project execution for a large, multi-million-dollar industrial scope from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage the project budget, including cost forecasting, labor production tracking, and change management to maintain financial performance.
• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in coordination with field leadership and trade partners.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field teams to ensure scope alignment, productivity, and adherence to project requirements.
• Drive project planning activities, including procurement strategies, material release schedules, and logistics coordination.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and contract documents across all project activities.
• Review, track, and manage requests for information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders to maintain project clarity and control.
• Collaborate closely with Superintendents and field leadership to support field execution, resolve issues proactively, and remove obstacles.
• Provide clear and consistent reporting on project financials, schedule status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead project closeout activities, including punch list management, turnover documentation, commissioning support, and lessons learned capture.
• Coordinate complex power distribution, grounding, lighting, controls, and low-voltage systems to meet project design and performance requirements.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and ensure compliance with high safety, quality, and documentation standards typical of industrial and life sciences facilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects.
• Strong background working with commercial, industrial, or life sciences electrical systems.
• Demonstrated experience managing large project budgets and leading project teams on multi-million-dollar scopes.
• Solid understanding of electrical means and methods for large-scale industrial projects.
• Proficiency with construction management and project controls software.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contracts accurately.
• Proven communication, leadership, and organizational skills suitable for complex, fast-paced projects.
• Industrial construction experience, particularly on large-scale electrical construction projects ($10M+ scope preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent trade or field experience considered in place of a formal degree.
• Experience with industrial, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or life sciences facilities.
• Exposure to complex power distribution, grounding, lighting, controls, and low-voltage systems.
• Experience working on projects with high safety, quality, and documentation standards.
• Hands-on experience in electrical construction and industrial project environments.

The Electrical Project Manager works closely with field leadership, trade partners, subcontractors, and suppliers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and schedule performance. The position involves frequent coordination with construction teams on-site, regular use of construction management and project controls software, and ongoing interaction with internal stakeholders and external partners. The project environment prioritizes detailed planning, thorough documentation, and strict adherence to contract requirements, making it well-suited for professionals who thrive in highly organized, high-expectation settings.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
