About the role
The Preconstruction Manager will lead a cross-functional team to support projects from inception to construction and beyond. This role requires strong coordination skills, client interaction, and a deep understanding of preconstruction processes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates design activities with consultants, subcontractors, and clients
- Works with the Group Manager of Preconstruction to develop best-in-class Preconstruction services
- Monitors project progress and engineering, design, and CAD project budgets
- Oversees the development of designs, cost estimates, and value engineering solutions
- Acts as the single point of contact for the Project Manager on all Preconstruction activities
- Guides project managers during the design phase to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management
- 10 years of electrical contracting experience or MEP coordination
Qualifications
- Experience working cooperatively and collaboratively with the operations side project manager
- Key point of contact for all clients during the Preconstruction/ planning phases of a project
- Transitions control of the project to the project manager during the construction phase
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in design and engineering software
- Knowledge of construction and engineering standards and regulations

Pay
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
Schedule
- Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday
- May require occasional overtime to meet business needs
