Electrical Pre-Construction Manager

About the role

We’re seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead the early stages of complex commercial and industrial builds with precision and vision.

Responsibilities

• Support Business Development in proposal presentations, interviews etc, and support Sales/Marketing in building General Contractor and Architect/Engineer relationships
• Prepare preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction document estimates and studies during preconstruction
• Initiate and maintain contact with General Contractors and Architect and Engineering firms
• Participate in design decisions, evaluations, studies, value engineering, value analysis, scheduling, and constructability reviews
• Identify new work opportunities
• Monitor cost trends
• Evaluate and analyze subcontractor proposals
• Participate in the preparation of construction schedule for estimating purposes
• Discuss staffing requirements with operations in preparation of building a project team

Qualifications

• 4 years of estimating experience in a Pre-Construction Manager role
• Must have experience with large commercial and industrial projects (concept to close-out)
• Knowledge of all electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems
• Expert computer software skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Particularly Excel)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong employment stability
• Experience with Accubid and/or Conest
• Knowledge of Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
