Electrical Power Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Level 4 Power Systems Engineer to lead the design, analysis, integration, and validation of complex electrical power architectures for radar systems. In this senior role, you will drive technical efforts and mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure power solutions meet performance, reliability, safety, and cost objectives, support the system lifecycle from conceptual design to qualification, and translate system requirements into effective power distribution and architecture solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• 9+ years of professional experience, or 7+ years with a master’s degree
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance
• Expertise in high-power electrical systems (100 kW+), including AC/DC, DC/DC converters, and inverter/rectifier systems
• Experience with power distribution, generation, conversion, and energy storage design
• Proficiency in qualifying electrical products to military standards MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-1399
• Ability to analyze and translate system requirements for proposals and system development
