Electrical Power Engineer

About the role

C&I Engineering is looking for a Senior Power Engineer to join their team in Louisville, KY. This position is part of the Electrical Engineering team responsible for developing designs for electrical/power systems and performing various engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial power distribution systems, including equipment specifications, protection schemes, load analysis, fault, and coordination studies.
• Perform electrical engineering calculations, such as load studies, voltage drop calculations, wire and conduit sizing, and motor sizing.
• Use ETAP, SKM, and other similar modeling software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering program with at least 6 years of related work experience, or a bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering technology program with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally to client locations, vendor shops, and project sites (up to 10%).
• Comply with drug-free workplace requirements.
• Obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and pass any required background checks.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with C&I and client requirements.
• Meet the physical demands of the job, which could include exposure to the weather, heights, small spaces, noise, etc., while working on job sites.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer License.
• Industry work experience.
• Leadership experience.
• CAD experience.

Pay

$80,000 to $130,000 per year.
