Electrical Panel Assembler - C-Shift

Job Functions

  • Read and understand electrical schematics (ladder diagrams) and mechanical layouts.
  • Possess a good understanding of electrical components.
  • Using the electrical print, verify all parts are accounted for.
  • Position and layout panel with parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or holding device.
  • Affix terminals and wiring to panel as directed by project drawing, schematic, and customer specified practices.
  • Install wire ducts, Din rail, and panel components including power supplies, control relays, circuit breakers, transformers, logic controllers, drives and other control equipment.
  • Crimp, screw, bolt, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, and automation equipment.
  • Select appropriate wire gauges based on drawings, customer specific practices and component manufacturer and circuit requirements.
  • Connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
  • Cut wire to specified length and route, comb, twist, wrap, tied and attached wire to terminal points.

Education And Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams - strong preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to learn to operate assorted power and hand-tools safely.
  • Able to read small print, differentiate colors, and compare numbers is essential.
  • Able to work independently and with others under direct supervision.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
  • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
