Quad Sussex, WI is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and operation of facility building systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on maintaining HVAC, plumbing, utilities, and general building systems to ensure a safe and reliable work environment. Candidates with general maintenance experience are encouraged to apply—HVAC or electrical experience is a plus, but not required. Paid relocation may be available for highly qualified candidates located 100+ miles from the plant.

Pay

$25.00 – $35.00 / hour

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts (3 days one week, 4 days the next)
  • Rotating days every 4 months

Responsibilities

  • Building Systems & Maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and utilities
    • Assist with maintaining heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
    • Support upkeep of refrigeration equipment such as coolers and air dryers
    • Help maintain water systems, including basic treatment and monitoring
  • General Facility Maintenance
    • Complete general building repairs such as:
      • Plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, drains)
      • Minor wall repairs, painting, and ceiling tile replacement
      • Roof leak patching and basic structural repairs
    • Maintain and repair doors, dock equipment, and other facility components
  • Equipment & Mechanical Support
    • Assist with maintenance of motors, compressors, pumps, and other mechanical equipment
    • Perform basic fabrication, repairs, and adjustments as needed
  • Grounds & Seasonal Work
    • Perform basic grounds maintenance and landscaping
    • Assist with snow removal and operate equipment as needed
  • Safety & Teamwork
    • Follow all safety policies and procedures
    • Keep work areas clean and organized
    • Work from maintenance schedules, service requests, and team priorities
    • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1–3 years of maintenance, facilities, or related experience
  • Willingness to learn and take on a variety of maintenance tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

Skills

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Experience using hand and power tools safely
  • Ability to follow instructions and read basic technical information
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Must provide own basic hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, or building systems
  • Basic electrical knowledge (motors, controls, or troubleshooting)
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Technical training or certifications in maintenance-related fields
  • Valid driver’s license (for snow removal equipment operation)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts
