Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician- 1st Shift

About the role

Utz Quality Foods is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Manufacturing team in Goodyear, AZ. This role involves working independently to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment.

Schedule

Shift hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with some Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, including motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and baking equipment, sheeters, extruders, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, and programmable logic controllers.
• Repair various types of facility equipment, such as lift trucks, pumps, fans, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment.
• Prepare, coordinate, and implement preventive maintenance.
• Complete installation and repair work from schematics and drawings.
• Perform minor electrical installations.
• Ensure quality and food safety tasks for the position are met.

Requirements

• Knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, and electronic applications acquired through 2+ years of experience.
• Able to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
• Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to work at excessive heights.
• Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.
