About the Role
Must possess a high level of skill and proficiency in maintenance and repair of plant production equipment as well as maintaining plant electrical systems with some installation work.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of system maintenance requiring knowledge and application of mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and welding.
- Installation, setup, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, instruments, controls, and related equipment.
- Demonstrate advanced electrical troubleshooting skills and a thorough working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Install and maintain electrical systems.
- Work from sketches, equipment manuals, basic designs, specifications, and verbal instructions.
- Stay abreast of new developments through study and schooling as necessary.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Assist other maintenance personnel and provide training when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Knowledge of computer operation and related software.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
- Operate a forklift truck (licensed in accordance with OSHA power industrial truck operator requirements).
- Trained in the National Electrical Code.
