Electrical Manager I / II (Utility Scale SOLAR)

100% travel role (non-negotiable) with nationwide project assignments. Typical rotation: 3 weeks onsite / 5 days off. Assigned to a primary project but may support multiple projects as needed.

About the Role

Client is currently seeking an Electrical Manager I and II in our Utility Scale Solar group that will be responsible for providing electrical technical support throughout the entire construction project. This position offers opportunities at both levels I and II, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical electrical support
  • Identify qualified electrical contractors and engineers and maintain list of areas of their expertise and geographical limits
  • Review system studies performed by engineer of record, ensuring conformance with contract documents
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
  • Provide onsite support to electrical team
  • Provide electrical design and installation support to on-site staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering OR equivalent experience
  • Master electrician preferred
  • Proficiency in medium and high voltage technical knowledge
  • Specialized knowledge/experience in an area of electrical control, substations, t-line, etc.
  • Knowledge of NEC code and NE safety code
  • Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
  • Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  • Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level

Electrical Manager I Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum eight years electrical construction management and/or electrical design experience
  • Minimum one-year experience with project completion from mobilization to turnover

Electrical Manager II Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight years electrical construction management and/or electrical design experience
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with project completion from mobilization to turnover
