Position specifics
- Location: Cleveland
- Melt Shop - 5k Sign on Bonus!
- Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (5-2-2-5 rotating shift)
What You’ll Do
- Ensure the reliability and safety of our operations by maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of industrial electrical systems.
- Support preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, and contribute to a team-oriented, safety-focused environment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and components.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and installations.
- Read and interpret schematics, equipment manuals, and electrical codes.
- Support mechanical team members and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and overhead cranes as needed.
- Use digital tools and systems to complete work orders and maintain records.
- Support environmental, safety, and quality procedures.
What You’ll Need
- A high school diploma or GED (free GED program available).
- 3+ years of experience in industrial electrician maintenance.
- A strong understanding of AC/DC theory, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and hydraulics/pneumatics.
- Experience with schematics, test instruments, and industrial safety protocols.
- The ability to work in environments with dirt, grease, heat, cold, and at heights.
Nice to Haves
- Journeyman Certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
- Background in steel industry maintenance.
- Welding and light fabrication experience.
- Familiarity with Profibus, Profinet, or Ethernet-based industrial networks.
- Knowledge of PID control loops and combustion systems.
