About the role
The Electrician - Maintenance supports ongoing activities on the KEOS contract at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure compliance with the NEC and KAFB Design Guide Standards.
- Maintains and repairs low voltage (600 volts and below) real property electrical systems to meet the NEC and applicable jurisdictional references.
- Responds to customer service calls in a timely and efficient manner, troubleshoots, and performs repairs as needed.
- Fulfills service requirements and accounts for time and material in accordance with contractual requirements for emergency, routine, and preventative work tasks.
- Completes necessary documentation in accordance with company processes and customer service requirements.
- Communicates with central dispatch, shop lead, and supervisor on current work order status and receives updates on outstanding customer issues daily.
- Participates in an after-hours on-demand service program.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current EE98J, State of New Mexico Journeyman license.
- Knowledge of electrical principles pertaining to interior and exterior power.
- Able to read and interpret building diagrams and technical manuals.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data and prepare daily reports.
- Proficient computer skills to include using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- US citizen with a valid U.S. government-issued security clearance.
- Valid US driver's license.
- Pass a drug screen.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Commitment to providing a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Department of Defense or other government environments.
- Journeymen’s license issued by one of the following states through reciprocity with New Mexico: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wyoming.
