About the role

This position involves the installation of complex integrated security systems, including wiring, equipment, and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for clients. The role is entry-level and willing to train candidates in solar, low voltage, and electrical work.

Responsibilities

  • Install cabling, field equipment, and control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to the National Electric Code, company, and customer guidelines.
  • Use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot and solve installation issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Install and program access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize work while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Work unsupervised to complete installation jobs with self-motivation.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Experience with CCTV and access control systems, as well as media storage.
  • Significant skill in digital and analog camera systems.
  • Understanding of the function and design of alarm systems.
  • Experience with IP addressable security devices.
  • Advanced TCP/IP networking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to establish coordinated working relationships.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour.
