About the role
The Capacity Delivery Team at Fluidstack is responsible for engineering gigawatts from drawing to energized, in months not years. This role involves owning electrical engineering across the portfolio, setting and evolving the electrical reference design, making field electrical calls at build speed, and ensuring energization readiness site by site.
Responsibilities
- Led electrical engineering for data center or heavy industrial builds
- Reviewed protection and coordination studies and found errors in them
- Owned energization sequences with utilities and AHJs
- Balanced speed and safety in field decisions
- Reviewed behind-the-meter generation, MV and HV distribution, and utility interconnection
Requirements
- You have led electrical engineering for data center or heavy industrial builds
- You have reviewed protection and coordination studies and found errors in them
- You have owned energization sequences with utilities and AHJs
- You have balanced speed and safety in field decisions
- A bonus would be having a PE license in MV and HV distribution
Qualifications
- Experience with electrical engineering in data center or heavy industrial settings
- Knowledge of protection and coordination studies and ability to identify errors
- Experience with energization sequences and working with utilities and AHJs
- Ability to make field decisions that balance speed and safety
- Optional: Professional Engineer (PE) license in MV and HV distribution
Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and engineering principles
- Experience with data center and heavy industrial electrical engineering
- Ability to review and critique technical studies and reports
- Field experience in managing electrical projects and energization sequences
- Knowledge of MV and HV distribution, behind-the-meter generation, and utility interconnection
