Electrical Laborer

Responsibilities

• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate possible hazards
• Signal operators to help facilitate movement or alignment of equipment
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools
• Configure pipe routes
• Assemble gas piping and equipment
• Follow safety standards throughout process, including while digging trenches, sliding pipe into trenches, grading trenches, and sealing joints
• Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels
• Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Class A CDL preferred
• Must be willing to travel
• Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds regularly
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Qualifications

• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred
• Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred
