Electrical Journeyman

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems, circuits, and equipment
  • Install wireways, conduits, and cable trays in accordance with NEC standards and customer specifications
  • Perform utility wire connections and demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical circuits
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings
  • Thread conduit and fabricate raceway systems as required
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe, working condition
  • Train and mentor employees on your assigned shift
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Promote a safe workplace by adhering to safety protocols and participating in safety meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Vocational or technical degree in electrical technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience
  • Master or Journeyman Electrician License preferred
  • Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience working with commercial and industrial equipment, including:
    • Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
    • Substation switchgear
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
