Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (Shift 2)

Job Scope

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for our Polyurethanes organization at our plant located in Ringwood, Illinois. Under indirect supervision, perform maintenance and repairs on the facility’s electrical, instrumentation, and machine control systems, ensuring that all work is completed within industrial standards, codes, and time frame expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in the following:
  • Working with electrical systems, plant instrumentation systems and color-coded wiring
  • Using electrical test equipment, hand tools, and power tools
  • Basic experience using computers/software for maintenance tasks (e.g., systems, reporting, or work orders)
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Prior industrial or manufacturing electrical experience is required
• Journeyman Electrician's License preferred.

Work Environment

• Work involves exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
• Considerable physical activity, including heavy physical work; lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 60 pounds, and/or working in elevated locations up to 35 feet.
• Work is done in a 7-day shift system, with an on-call schedule.
