Job Expectations/Duties
- Maintain/Troubleshoot Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition while working in a team environment to ensure proper terminal operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair Industrial TCP/IP and Modbus networks of PLC and various I&E field devices such as Coriolis / flow meters, RADARs, motor controllers, motor starter protection relays, PLC Remote IO Racks, flow control valves, etc.
- Installation and configuration of all field devices will be required.
- Maintain / Troubleshoot Fiber networks, Stratix switches, Antaira Network Technologies, Patch Panels, and both fiber and cat5/6 terminations.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections, certifications and calibrations of various I&E equipment listed above.
- Maintain/manage Factory Talk Server installation, programming, software updates.
- Participate in the design of E&I system replacement and expansion.
- Working Knowledge and understanding of the H.M.I.
- Maintain Plant-wide Security Access Point Control Systems to include automated gate openers, server-based biometric scanning systems and CCTV surveillance systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess high standards in the areas of safety, quality and customer focus.
- 5 years’ minimum experience as an I&E Specialist in an industrial facility, containing numerous process systems and hazardous liquids such as flammables and corrosives.
- Accredited training and certification in related E&I technology and industrial fields.
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge with the following:
- modern industrial process control schemes such as Factory Talk, TankMaster and Variable Frequency drives
- PLC based control products such as Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, PLC5 and PLC 500)
- Analog and digital field instrumentation products such as RADAR, flow meters (Coriolis, vortex, swirl, turbine and mag), pressure / temperature sensors and flow control valves, NFPA 70E and standard LOTO procedures.
- Electrical area classification and installation requirements for hazardous area classification as it relates to conduit, wiring, etc. electrical schematics / drawings and P&ID diagrams.
- MS office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
