About the role
We are seeking an Engineering Technician to maintain electronic systems, PLC, computer software, and components for industrial and commercial applications. The role involves performing testing procedures and maintenance for electronic equipment and components, inspecting systems to ensure they meet applicable regulations and safety standards, and working collaboratively within a team environment during the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems, PLC, HMI, relay controls, 480VAC controls, VFDs, computer software, and components for industrial and commercial applications.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) procedures and maintenance for electronic equipment and components.
- Recommend design modifications for equipment.
- Assist with controller calibration.
- Interpret technical publications, including design methods documents, product proposals, parts lists, operation manuals, and maintenance manuals related to the equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant Engineering experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related Engineering experience.
- Experience with PLC, HMI, analog input/output, and temperature controllers.
- Advanced knowledge of Electronics and Robotics to analyze and troubleshoot processes and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain reasoning for corrective actions and generate parts lists for repairs.
- Initiative and drive to complete tasks efficiently.
Schedule
4/10: Employees work 10-hour days, 4 days a week.
